We're thrilled to help you turn your gently-loved or new pieces into cash or store credit. It’s easy—bring your items in, we sell them, and you share in the proceeds! Let’s get started. 😊

 

 

📌 What We Accept

To keep our shoppers happy and your items selling quickly, we have a few guidelines:

✅ Condition

We only accept items that are:

  • Gently-used or like-new.

  • Clean and free of:

    • Pet hair

    • Deodorant / Food / Make-up stains

    • Dirt, snags, pilling, holes, or visible wear

🔥 Current Style

Style is personal, but we do our best to stay on-trend and cater to what our customers love. Not sure about an item? Just ask us!

🍂 Seasonal Acceptance

Due to limited space, many items are accepted seasonally. Check out our Seasonal Breakdown HERE.

However, we generally accept:

  • Pants, jeans, sleepwear, layering items, formals, & activewear all year long—based on need and space.

👗 Brands

  • We welcome most brands! However, due to their lower original price, we’re a bit more selective with items from Walmart, Shein, and On-line/No-Brand items. While we don’t typically accept basics from these brands, we’re always excited to make exceptions for pieces that are trendy, stylish, or truly unique. 😊

 

 

📅 Bringing In Items

We make consignment easy, whether you’re popping in with a few items or planning to bring in a larger batch.

🚶 Walk-In

  • Bring up to 10 items without an appointment, any day (Tues-Sat.) between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

  • You can do this once per week.

📆 Appointment

  • Bringing more than 10 items or need a different time? Book a 20-minute appointment to review up to 30 items.

  • Can’t find a convenient time? Call us—we’ll do our best to work something out, especially if you have special circumstances (moving, loss of a loved one, etc.).

 

 

🚗 Arriving at the Store

  1. Check-In: Head to the Consignment Desk- located in the back left corner of the store- where our friendly associates will confirm your name & phone number.

  2. Donation Preference: We'll ask:

    • “If we can’t accept an item, would you like it back or should we donate it for you?”

      • “I would like them back.” Browse the store while we review your items, or come back within one week to pick up anything we couldn’t accept.

      • “I would like them donated.” You’re all set! Items we accept will appear in your account within 7-10 days.

 

 

📑 Getting Started

On your first visit, you’ll:

  • Complete a Consignment Agreement.

  • Receive an Account Number for easy access.

  • Check your email for a link to view your account online- This allows you to monitor your account, check on items that have sold, and see your credit balance anytime.

 

 

📦 After Drop-Off

  • Processing: Items are entered into our database within 7-10 days.

  • Consignment Period: Items remain available for 90-120 days depending on the season and the item.

  • Sales Events: We frequently run sales, including- specific categories, tag colors, or seasonal clearance sales.

  • Earnings: As your items sell, you earn 40% of the sale price—credited to your account.

💸 Getting Paid

Once your items sell, your earnings will be credited to your account. You can:

  • Use Your Funds: As store credit for in-store or online purchases.

  • Request a Check: If your balance is over $10.00, we can prepare a check for you.

    • Checks are ready on the Tuesday after your request and can be:

      • Picked up in-store during business hours.

      • Mailed to you for a $2.00 handling fee.

 

 

❓ What Happens If My Items Don’t Sell?

  • Items are kept for 90-120 days.

  • At the end of the consignment period, My Sister's Closet will donate unsold items to one of the local charities that we support.

  • If an item is priced over $30, we’ll contact you to give you the option to pick it up or donate it.

  • Some pieces may be stored for the next appropriate season.
